Item Description

THE BEATLES - LES BEATLES 1965 This original 1965 French pressing of Beatles For Sale is one of the hardest to find and rarest of all their French LPs This genuine EXCELLENT 1965 mono pressing is on the orange black Odeon label: OSX 228 Matrix numbers: XAR 809 21/M6 238684 XAR 810 21 M6 238685 Vinyl weight: 141g Housed in an outer fully laminated gatefold cover with open central front window.
Complete with its front laminated insert with the red upper banner original plain white inner-sleeve.
CONDITION Disc Labels: EXCELLENT A vibrant clean with some light spindle trails on each with a touch of wear to the side 1 centre hole only.
Visual: VERY GOOD Both playing surfaces are clean with just some light surface marks and harmless light hairlines visible in strong daylight, but nothing I would call a scratch.
Closer inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp does little more than highlight these minor blemishes, adding only a sparkling rainbow shine to each side.
Both sides of this rre disc lie 100 flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT This copy has received a moderate amount of play but the sound is clean, warm and unworn throughout.
My single careful play-check detected no trace of any groove/playwear distortion or any other significant audible interference.
In fact, apart from a hint of low-level background between tracks in a few of the quieter moment, there is little to fault on this rare copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT A highly respectable example of this extremely fragile cover which is amongst the best I have had the pleasure to offer.
The front panel is clean with just a single nick to centre hole in the 6 o clock position and no other damage elsewhere.
There is minor shelfwear to the lower left corner a little bruising to the upper right a trace of wear to the front opening edge but no splits, tears or any touch-up anywhere.
Both panels inside the gatefold are clean unblemished.
The rear panel is clean glossy with just some shelfwear to the lower right corner but no creasing, ringwear or any other signs of wear.
Unusually for this cover, the spine is in superb condition with no splits or wear anywhere and a perfect full text.
Insert: EXCELLENT Clean, glossy and flat with the only trace of wear being two thumbnail wrinkles towards the right edge a tiny push on the upper edge.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT Clean unblemished with just a few gentle storage bends but no writing, tears or seam splits.
