Columbia SAX 2563 UK LP 1963

This is an original UK Stereo pressing in very nice overall condition It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve which has a mid sized Stereo on the front. It comes with its original polythene-lined generic EMI company paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl has red Semi Circle Columbia labels. These have the Sold in UK... text. The matrix numbers are:
Side 1: S-1-36002 A-3
Side 2: S-2 36002 B-4
A genuine UK Stereo 1st pressing of this extremely desirable 1960 s UK Classical LP. In very nice overall condition too. This is one of Milstein s rarest UK LP releases. A superb LP too. Sleeve: There is an M written in felt tip pen in the top right corner of the rear sleeve see photo . There is light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the corner tips.There is some light or very mild ringwear on some areas. Very Good condition.
Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, very mild or very minor dull surface marks on some areas. These are mainly on the dead wax areas on both sides. These, again, can hardly be seen under a strong light. NEAR EXCELLENT condition. The labels are in Excellent condition and show very mild spindle wear. There is a minuscule 0.2 cm hairline tear at the spindle hole area on Side 2. It hardly really notices. The polythene-lined company inner sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have play tested this LP in its entirety it plays Very Good to Near Excellent overall, Excellent in some places. There is some light, very mild or very minor crackle in the background to a varying degree. This is obviously more noticeable in the quietest places. It never overpowers the music. There are no noticeable clicks or pops.
Overall, this is a reasonable audio copy. However, this LP would definitely benefit from a deep down groove clean in a professional record cleaning machine. Visually this record is very nice clean. Therefore, any crackle is just due to microscopic dirt deep down in the grooves. It would, I believe, play Excellent to Excellent , or better, after a professional clean.

gt gt Grading Information All grading is very strict adheres to Record Collector specifications. However, I have fine tuned them they are explained below. All vinyl is examined closely under a strong light play tested.
MINT Condition As good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate
NEAR MINT Condition Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT. This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.
EX Condition A clean tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under strong light. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
NEAR EX Condition You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
VG Condition A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won t be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won t detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed

All records will be sent in high quality vinyl mailers with at least two card stiffeners either side of the LP or 7 . I use a cruciform box for larger orders 4-6 LPs . All parcels will be marked Fragile and dispatch time will generally be between 2-3 days after payment.

I will also remove the vinyl from the sleeve place them in a re-sealable polythene sleeve. In order to prevent seam splits. Depending on the inner sleeve I often remove the vinyl from the inner sleeve place it in a separate plain paper, or polythene-lined, plain inner sleeve. I am very conscientious and careful when packaging your LP s .

I consider my postage packaging costs to be very transparent very fair. Packaging costs will generally be between 0.80 to 1.50. I am not adding any further costs for handling, etc...
