Near mint NM condition vinyl - incredible as it might seem, the condition of this 1960 vinyl is truly hard to fault. Weighty, completely flat, and giving off a jet black sheen in normal daylight, each side of the vinyl comes across as not being played. And with close inspection under a bright light it is exactly the same If I look really hard I can just about detect a couple of small and wispiest of wispy faint hairlines but that really is it. Remarkable And again for the labels : near mint NM condition - not even the faintest sign of a single spindle trail, with both labels remaining in pristine condition. Each label contains the BBC LIBRARY stamp - the stamp is faint see photos and not obvious and, for me at least, adds authenticity to this vinyl rarity. Clearly, this record has been barely played - a few times at most. Very good plus VG condition fully laminated Garrod Lofthouse outer flipback sleeve. The sleeve originally front-side only laminated has been re-laminated by the BBC Library with BBC stickers on both the front and reverse sides. There are six stickers in total : four on the outside of the laminate and two on the inside...the four on the outside could be removed. My view on that is why would anybody want to do that? The stickers only add authenticity to this record. Having said that the original sleeve, underneath the BBC laminate, does look in great shape with as you would expect no edge scuffing, no cardboard bends, perfect right angled corners, firm edges and spine with the opening edges displaying no fraying at all, the spine itself is near perfect with all spine text completely intact, and all photos and text remain perfectly defined. Do take a close look at my photos and make up your own mind - I love this sleeve and the BBC stickers, for me at least, only add to the rich history of this wonderful UK 1st pressing. Superb near mint NM mono audio quality with no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, distortion, interference, clicks or crackle. Flawless MONO sound quality from start to finish with not even a hint of any background crackle at all. Incredible And what a music treat these jazz legends have served up on this LP : Harold Ashby tenor sax , Jimmie Jones piano , Al Hall bass , and Oliver Jackson drums with every track a great listen. Comes with what I believe to be the original MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN poly-lined inner sleeve in spuerb excellent plus EX condition with no side splits or edge fraying, barely any creasing, and no age discolouration. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.
One of the most sought after UK 1st press British jazz holy grails - I defy anybody to find better condition 1960 1st press vinyl than this
