Vinyl, , Pye contract pressing LP Album Misprint Stereo
Contract pressing.
Probably printed by the UK Pye in the 1969. The copyright information are listed as ‘Copyright Control", when later red/plum labels state ’Warner Bros and Jewel Music.
To meet the high demand for this album at that time, Polydor sub bargained the pressing of few copies to Pye. It is recognized because has a groove inside the label and matrices end ONLY with the letter A (side 1) and B (side 2).
Error with etchings (number 9 is etched out and replaced with number 8 on B-side)
Spine title: Led Zeppelin 2 (instead of II) . Track 2 is erroneously named as ‘Living Loving Wreck (She’s A Woman)’. The sleever is light brown in colour. Sleeve credit contains 'The Lemon Song'
Original Atlantic recording (made July-August at various locations), pressed/manufactured & distributed under license in the UK by Polydor Records Limited and utilizing the Polydor catalog# series for the UK.
This recording has "Whole Lotta Love" (A1), "The Lemon Song" (A3) & "Bring It On Home" (B5) credited to band members. These four elements had credit changes effected on later issues, together with a retitling of tracks A3 & B2.
Gatefold unlaminated cover (light brown) No "Stereo" print on front. Inside cover track list has 'Maid' replacing 'Wreck' for title of B2 on label.
First Cat# on label.
Second Cat# on inside sleeve and spine.
